Senior IT Security Consultant
We are seeking a strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail to join our team as a Senior IT Security Consultant. This role requires an experienced consultant with expertise in establishing security protocols, assessing potential security threats, and creating contingency plans should a breach occur. A combination of technical and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role. Typical Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct strategic risk assessments and threat and vulnerability assessments
- Design, implement, and maintain security protocols, policies, and systems
- Lead and/or assist with the development of design specifications, migration plans, and operational best practices based on client requirements
- Respond to any breaches or threat and conduct corrective and preventative measures to prevent future incidents
- Monitor internal logs and traffic to proactively investigate suspicious activity and anomalies
- Perform email and file encryption
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing security systems
- Lead and manage a team of security specialists
- Train staff to recognize security threats and adhere to the organization’s security best practices
- Provide technical leadership and engineering support to customers and in-house teams
- Manage security awareness and training across the company
- Communicate with clients to discuss security measures and provide information on the designed system
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in security management
- Experience in computer coding and reviewing code in C, C++, Java, PHP, or ASP

- Experience building security architecture aligned with business requirements
- Experience leading or managing projects within the technical security space
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team within the built environment
- Experience providing threat-based design guidance for security systems
- Thorough knowledge of technical risk analysis, assessment, and mitigation
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, SQL, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and standards
- Knowledge of physical and electronic protection systems

- JOB PURPOSE:
