Agent Deployment Verification & Expansion
- Verify successful deployment of agents across all intended endpoints.
- Confirm agents are actively reporting to the correct Relay and Root Server.
- Troubleshoot non-responsive or failed installations.
- Validate proper grouping/tagging of endpoints for patching, imaging, and reporting.
Device Imaging & OS Deployment
- Utilize OS Deployment and Bare Metal Imaging site to:
- Deploy standardized Windows/Linux images
- Configure post-imaging scripts (naming, drivers, domain join, etc.)
- Troubleshoot PXE boot or alternate deployment methods
- Ensure base images are aligned with customer IT policy.
VPN Client Configuration
- Package and deploy company-approved VPN clients (e.g., AnyConnect, FortiClient) using custom Fixlets.
- Validate correct VPN profile configurations per device/user.
- Confirm endpoint reachability via VPN for remote support and patching.
Active Directory Integration
- Ensure proper domain join of imaged or existing systems.
- Validate OU placement and Group Policy application.
- Deploy/redeploy AD join scripts via BigFix Tasks where needed.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Work with internal security team to:
- Apply SCM (Security Configuration Management) baselines.
- Deploy security agents or scripts (EDR, AV, mail protection).
- Monitor for compliance drift, unauthorized software, or outdated patches.
- Prepare security posture reports.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Dashboards
- Confirm reporting functionality across endpoints and groups.
- Build or customize dashboards for deployment status, patch levels, and policy compliance.
- Set up alerts for agent health, patch compliance, or anomalous behavior.
End-User Support & IT Coordination
- Serve as technical liaison between BigFix infrastructure and on-site IT support staff.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and deployment assistance.
- Train client IT staff on BigFix console basics as needed.
Ongoing Maintenance
- Monitor agent and relay health regularly.
- Assist in monthly patch rollouts, scheduled deployments, and image updates.
- Maintain SOPs and knowledge base for internal teams.
